Cookie Sprinkle Love

Yesterday the boys endured what most children would aptly describe as the nightmare before Christmas. They were so patient as we zipped around town running a multitude of errands which I concluded with a mega grocery shopping trip.

Today we stayed home. We stayed home! My favorite kind of day. We listened to records and baked cookies and signed Christmas cards for the neighbors. Then, I turned them loose to play outside.

That dollar-fifty bag of thrift store cookie cutters came in handy today.

We rolled and cut and sprinkled {quite vigorously}.

Tukes scooped...

He is fond of green {like his mama}. Would you care for some cookie with your sprinkles?

My two very proud and enthusiastic bakers informed me that our cookies are beautiful and delicious. {In case you're wondering, my kitchen floor was just as be-sprinkled as the goodies.}

I did manage to convince the boys to leave some of them "undressed" for those of us who prefer to taste the flavor of the cookie and not just sugar.

We heart cookies, especially with sprinkles.

You're boys are too cute! And don't you think a little mess making can be a good thing for little guys? They so enjoy it.

You can NEVER have too many sprinkles, you know! My Taylor will still reach for the cookie with sprinkles from a variety plate. A stay-at-home day...my favorite, too!

I like your site, it inspired me to create a blog about my little bit of the world. I like the photography and the fact that your faith is front and center without being overdone.

How fun! I did Christmas baking to give away to friends and neighbors. My kids were so sad, "Isn't any of that for us?" they lamented. We will have our family baking day Monday, and I'm sure there will be plenty of sprinkles and sugar involved.

What a perfect day for you. Your boys will remember that forever. We can't wait until our little grandson is old enough to decorate cookies with us. Cherish these memories.
