My goal: Create fun and colorful Valentine's Day treats for the boys using ingredients and materials that I already have on hand.
Marshmallows, white icing, and sprinkles {three ingredients they love} used to make my version of homemade Peeps. Tip: Warm the icing slightly for smooth dipping. Chill the coated marshmallows in a mini-muffin pan.
Bamboo skewers {stained green with non-toxic watercolors} and colorful paper cut outs {gotta love that orange and red combo!}.
Flower pots, tissue paper, and foam or oasis {in my case, old, green Play-doh} needed to make the arrangement. The little guys will each find a colorful bouquet at their table place on Valentine's Day. No purchase necessary.
Unfortunately, the professor does not consider marshmallows to be one of the finer things in life.

This is too cute!! So fun and creative! I wish I were getting one on V-day!
I bet your boys would disagree with the Professor on this point! They will love their Valentine peeps.
You get an A+ for creativity and thinking outside of the box!
These are great! I'll have to make them sometime (maybe flowers for Easter?), because I am a person who considers marshmallows to be one of the finer things. At least in my life.
And I am "borrowing" your idea of the paint card hearts for Valentine's cupcakes. Thanks for the inspiration. (I'll post a picture, although I'm sure they won't be as dainty as yours.)
Homemade Peeps! What a clever idea....and I bet they taste better, too!
Excellent and delightful and fun! Have you given them to the boys yet? And, I will confess to being the only adult I know who loves Peeps. What's not to love?!? :-)
Cute, cute, cute! I love it!
okay, this is GREATNESS Modgirl! I love these! So fun! How great. Your boys will love waking up to these and I can't wait to hear what they say about them. Kelly
Beth -- Haven't given them to the boys yet. I mocked this one up yesterday just to see if I liked it. I'll put the real ones together tonight after they are asleep (due to weekend plans we're doing V'day tomorrow).
Your creativity amazes me! WOW! Very very cute!
Happy Thursday!
Wonderful, wonderful pictures! I love the orange and red combo too. So very creative....
You are so creative! Love it...What's up with that professor. He needs to get on board!
They are so cute! I'm going to have to make some for my husband. He thinks marshmallows and icing deserve their own place on the food pyramid.
Now, how fun is this? These are absolutely adorable. Clever, clever girl, MG!
Mod Valentine Cuteness Supreme, you have outdone yourself this time!
Love the stained sticks.
My daughter is doing her own party this year, every single bit, 11 is a great age. Well, I'm making the red velvet cupcakes.

That's it...I'm coming to live at your house!
These are adorable...very creative!
I love this idea! Even though my sons are much older than yours, I think they would enjoy these, too. Thanks for sharing!
I love them!
What a great idea!
that is a very cute idea! I like the simplicity-- would be great for little kids!
I'm wishing Valentine's Day hasn't passed already! Maybe I can come up with some other excuse to copy you.
