Patches of Blue Pockety Apron

The evenings were long and quiet while the professor was away. To help pass the time I kept myself occupied with sewing projects.

The color palette of this pockety apron mimics the sky on a breezy spring day {just like today}... a mix of white and dark gray with patches of blue peaking through to smile at me.

I can't believe that you find the time to raise two boys, blog so beautifully, and do amazing sewing projects.

You should post a pattern for the beautiful aprons you are always making.

Jules -- Yep, it's my bargain after-Christmas bargain ribbon. I love it and it's been the source of much inspiration.

Katherine -- I sew slowly, sssslllooowwwllllyyyy, in little chunks of time that I find here and there.

The pattern for the pockety apron is one that I sketched out myself. I've thought of making it into a free downloadable pdf to go on the sidebar, but honestly I'm not sure if others are interested... it's so basic, and there are much cuter ideas out there.
