They Built a Fort

No one explained the significance of the rooftop flotation device.
I have no doubt that its presence was important.

That's hilarious! I do say, that is the sweetest floating fort I've seen! And I've seen my fair share of forts. :)

Cute, cute! We love building forts, and might be getting a little tent for the upcoming birthday.

Ah, to be their age again! Blanket forts were my favorite at that age. Then I graduated to hay bale forts in the barn. Thanks for sharing your boys with us.

Wow..this brings back memories! I loved forts with my sisters and my boys did, too! They usually involved all the chairs we could find and a big blanket or sheet...inside or outside...such fun!

Sweet! I miss the days of the boys building forts (and comments like that make me sound much older than I feel!!)

Smiles!

perhaps it is a mod decoration for the fort? :) I love forts and this does appear to be a cozy one! Kelly

It's a bit like a satirical version of the ark. Any animals in there?

My kids used to build air tents. They stretched the sheets over any available furniture, pinned it down and set a box fan at the entrance. The sheet would inflate and they had one nifty (and airy) tent.

Hello! My daughter showed me your blog this morning, and I just HAD to comment on the fort building! Our girls have built many forts in the living room, and now the techniques are being passed on to children my daughter babysits (and to grandboys my other daughter is raising, I'm sure!).

Love the floatation device... it reminded me of a cross-country air flight, with the flight attendants explaining what to do in case of a water emergency. We were flying over deserts and mountains nearly all the way!

Love your blog!
