Thinking Eternally

Today I was sharply reminded that life's circumstances often change in an instant... so does my outlook unless it is fixed on what is eternal.

As much as I delight in a morning that is filled with sunlight, I hope that my heart always desires to bask more in the neverending light and glory of the Son. While I love being at home and I enjoy the material blessings that He has given me, I pray that I will ever remember that better is one day in His courts than thousands elsewhere.

Isn't that the truth! And in the meantime we have sunshine and flowers.

What a gorgeous room! The vase is quite striking. I'm glad that it hasn't been knocked over by a soccer ball flying through the room yet!

Sometimes I have a hard time believing that the next life can be better than this! Even bad days are pretty darn spectacular. Does that mean my imagination or my faith is limited? I'm not sure. But I'm jealous of your outlook.

I really enjoy your blog. Not a blogger myself, but glad so many meaningful blogs are out there. We live too far out to get a newspaper everyday so this is my morning read and much more cheerful! Thanks for your efforts and standing on your faith. Peggy Duvall, Utopia, Tx.
