Our bachelor neighbor is much too occupied at his law office to notice the small, established rose garden nestled on the south end of his property. I take it upon myself give his neglected blooms some attention... and from time to time I take just one.

after all roses thrive when pruned, and I believe when they are appreciated
I don't blame you for appreciating the neighbors forgotten roses, beautiful as always.
Too bad he doesn't take the time to stop and smell the roses, isn't it?
How nice of you to help out. And get something in return.
I had an elderly lady as a neighbor once, and in return for doing her yard work, my table was always topped with the most amazing blooms.
I'm sure the roses appreciate your attention! I love how your camera captured the fuzz on the bud leaves!
How funny, I was going to say exactly was Dorci said, above. It is all too easy to get caught up in the busy-ness of work and to-dos so the small but important things are overlooked... I hope he does take the time to smell his roses!
The top photo is so intriguing! It's like the water glass is trying to tell me something...it's so crisp and refracting!
Now. On to more pressing matters. I do hope there will be no floral custody matters between you and the lawyer. :)
You are so neighborly! It's so sad when roses come and go without proper applause.
I too have a single red rose. :) It is atop my dresser at the moment, a gift during teacher appreciation week last week. Happy Tuesday. Kelly
I think he would thrilled that you are enjoying them!
Well, you picked a nice one! Too bad that the neighbor is too busy to enjoy them himself.
