Clean Teeth

I was expecting dramatics akin to what was displayed on the first day of swimming lessons. Sometimes I underestimate my children; Tukes did great on his first visit to the dentist! The hygienist did honor his request not to recline in "da big chair", because the first appointment is, as she called it, a happy visit.

Big brother took everything in stride. He's an old pro at dentist appointments... these days he has a few less teeth to be cleaned at each one.

What adorable boys. So glad their dentist trauma days haven't started yet. (I'm thinking it was wisdom teeth time that did it for me.) I'd like a "happy" visit!

Oh, this brings back sweet memories. About 25 years ago, on my kids' first visit, they took a Polaroid picture of them to take home.

Not so sweet was the time my oldest son tried to take the lid off the super glue with his teeth. The tube broke in his mouth and actually glued his teeth and lips together. I'm sure everyone in that dental office still talks about it.

I wish I was as brave as Tukes when I go to the dentist! :) Kelly

You've got very cute boys! My kids hate going to the dentist no matter how many "happy visits" they've gotten.

AND their dentist is an adult they already know - that helps so much!

This was my smile for the day!

How cute! My little guy won't sit in the chair, either.

At least he sat in the chair by himself. My littlest insists on sitting in my lap.

I love the idea of having pictures of the occasion.

I bet Willow's dentist has never forgotten the superglue kid either! Thank goodness mine never did that!
