I've been in a sewing frenzy lately. I'm pretty sure it's my coping mechanism. A major kitchen renovation can do that to a girl.

This world wide web of ours is overflowing with inspiration... occasionally I stumble upon an idea so special that it sparks love at first sight. I was smitten the I first time met the corsage tee and knew in an instant that I would create one {or two, or three} for myself.
Did you know J. Crew sells a similar shirt for $29.50? On sale it's marked down to $19.99, but I was able to make mine for free using a stack of neglected v-neck tees that were languishing in the chest of drawers. Overlooked wardrobe staples transformed into summery color and flair at no cost... I love it!

Look at me {minus part of my head} feeling cute and a little sassy with just a dash of pink flamingo Florida kitsch stirred in for good measure. Yes, a flower on my shoulder makes me happy... Demolished kitchen, you haven't beaten me yet!

You really need to post how to make these. Because they are beautiful. And I think a flower on my shoulder could brighten my day during my home renovation as well.
Um...I'm seriously upset right now that we do not live down the street from one another. We are so on the same wavelength! I made one a little while back with no tutorial, and following a coveted shirt from anthropolgie. Yours is MUCH more the cuter. Do you wanna start an etsy shop and sell them? :)
Way to hang in there! Cute t-shirt.
They look great!! Keep your eyes on the prize with the kitchen--it will be SOOO worth it when it's done. Can't wait to see pictures! Happy sewing!
You look so cute and GREAT t-shirts!
maybe it will inspire my daughter to make some for us : )

I LOVE THIS!!!! So clever and cute!
Very cute idea! (You have the most beautiful hair!)
You are so cute! I love the shirts!!! Wishing I had one. Did you use that fun old tin mold thing as a pattern of some sort along the way?
The kitchen WILL get done! But I know how you must feel! Yikes. Hang in there! Kelly
p.s. just realizing the one shirt is in my wedding colors! No wonder I like it. :) Kelly
Miss G/Kelly -- Yes, I used that old mold as my pattern for the "petals". The tutorial suggests using a heat shape to make the petals... I did that for the blue/peach shirt but the corsage didn't turn out as fluffy as the others. I think I like the blossom shape for the petals better.
Very, very smart! I absolutely love it!
HOW FRESH and INSPIRING! It is little things like this that are such pleasures huh?
Yep. Cute and sassy! Love it, MG.
I have a few v-neck tees in my closet. Can I bring them over? That's really cute!
Very pretty! :-)
They turned out DARLING! I love the mix of colors as well! Great job and thanks for the link!
