First thing this morning I stripped the beds. Friday is wash the sheets day. While I worked I made a mental note to replace my withered gardenia with a fresh one from the yard. The gardenias, unlike the blueberries, have been prolific this summer.
Have you ever placed a gardenia at your bedside? Oh, you should! A single bloom will fill your bedroom with the intoxicating fragrance of summer. As you sleep you will breathe its delicious perfume giving you the sweetest of dreams... I know this is true because last night I dreamed that I was making a big, beautiful pound cake.
Sweet dreams to each of you...

I don't think we have gardenias where I live. But still, nothing brightens my day like flowers on the bedside table.
Ah, Christian! I love your photographs and glimpses into your life!
Steve got a kick out of me pushing home the Piggly Wiggly cart, too, and "bag-lady" was the term he used also!
Sadly, I haven't had many gardenias this year. I think I need to prune the bush and let it start over next year. I do love the smell. There is nothing like it.
Friday is wash the sheets day for me too. :)
I would like to have a gardenia bush. My grandma used to have them lining her driveway at her old house. Sadly, my mom is allergic to them but I love them.
Last night I dreamed of speed scrabble word placements. :) We played with my mom last night right before bed. Have a lovely Saturday! Kelly
Hmmm. No gardenias here. Smelled Steph's while we were back home. Heavenly, I agree with you!
