Playdate

Miss Brown Eyes spent the morning with us.
These two little chums play so well together...
Which is a good thing because they'll be playing together once a week.
When Miss Brown Eyes comes to our house her mother gets a morning out {alone}.
Guess what I get when Tukes goes to their house?!

Miss Brown Eyes isn't a firecracker, she's a stick of dynamite.
I love her fun, spirited personality.

Her daddy just celebrated a milestone birthday.
She told me that they hung a "walking up the hill" banner. Too cute!

Three is such a fun age!
{Tukes, we'll start working on your technique.}

True to my word, we baked something special.
Which was a helpful tactic in soothing away minor head trauma incurred on the rope swing.

Now there are no chocolate chips left for my afternoon s'mores...
But these chocolate chip muffins are great served warm with a scoop of ice cream on the side!
Don't ask me how I know this.

{Bake them at 350, not 400! And, use semi-sweet chocolate chips.}

Miss Brown eyes is adorable. They look like good buddies. Was that Hi Ho Cherry O? (I hate to think how many of those cherries ended up in my sweeper!)

Yea!!! Love your fun posts! I remember the days of having few enough kids to trade off. Next year, Lord willing, I will only have two at home three days a week for the first time in 7 years. Maybe I can find someone to make an arrangement with :). I can't wait to try these muffins!

Chocolate makes everything better doesn't it?

That Miss Brown Eyes is a cutie. She has "girl hair" as Taylor used to say at that age. He always liked the girls with long hair and in kindergarten would only invite girls with "girl hair" to his birthday party! Actually, I think he still prefers "girl hair"! LOL!

Those muffins looks wonderful. A nice change from s'mores! Although, did you see Sandy's peanutbutter cup s'mores? I may have to try those!
