Honestly, the amount of satisfaction that I find in making a gift from materials that I already have on hand is more than slightly absurd. What can I say? Yes, I'm easily thrilled.
This evening I plan to venture out for a baby shower celebrating a baby girl who is due to arrive shortly before Christmas. Using fabric leftover from last year's holiday sewing I put this little holiday a-line jumper together over the weekend. Seeing that it's sized for a 12-month old, it will be perfect for her to wear next Christmas.

Oh how I hope you have a girl so you can make her lots of cute stuff!

I get the same satisfaction. Or at least I used to when I sewed. It's that satisfaction of bein self-relient, crafty and thrifty.
I bet the recipient of this thoughtful gift was thrilled as well.
I loved sewing for Rachel. I still have some of her clothes. I'm saving them in case she has her own little girl one day.
How very sweet! I love baby showers! :)
How fun! I am so impressed...I am just now learning how to follow a pattern. As in, last week. :)
I bet your friend will be THRILLED!
When my children were little, I loved to sew for them. Perhaps it is time to bring out the sewing machine again for my grandchildren. You have inspired me.
I am that way too, especially with a recipe. I get very excited if we already have everthing I need for it in the pantry.
Hope you're having a great week! Miss you!
Oh, fantastic!!
And may I say I cannot wait until I have a working sewing machine again. Patience, Anna, patience.
