On The Lathe

There is a Civil War era, Confederate lathe tucked in the shade near the main lawn of campus.

The boys pretty much consider it to be their personal jungle gym.

After haircuts we must walk across the street to "see the lathe." Their "seeing" involves a lot of climbing. What can I say... they are tactile, active, curious little boys who love all things mechanical.

I don't complain about the climbing, when paired with dimples it makes for a great photo op!

Boo looks like a big kid in that first photo and like a boy again in the second. :) Kelly

Stevie -- the lathe was used for making canons during the war.
