A few weeks ago, on a whim, I decided to try cleaning my face naturally like Simple Mom... she calls it the oil cleansing method. Cooler weather and pregnancy were causing dry skin so I knew that I needed the extra moisture, but I was skeptical...
Not any longer. I've converted!

I have wondered about this but have also been skeptical! Good to know. Kelly
I use a face cleanser with olive oil in it, so I know this works! I bet yours is much cheaper made at home!
I am really interested in this, too. Where did you find castor oil? I've never shopped for it, so just wondered if it's easy to find. With all my skin problems in recent years, I'm eager to try this - and to use something so natural, as opposed to medicinal creams and such. We'll see. Good to hear it works for you.
Beth -- I bought the castor oil at Kroger in the pharmacy area where they sell the laxative products. The bottle was $1.29 -- cheap!
I love how the oil mixture dissolves make-up and how moisturized my skin feels (my skin does not feel oily it just doesn't feel dry -- make sense?).
What a great site! Simple Mom has a new follower...
Very cool. I recently read some in "The Green Beauty Guide" and she encouraged this same thing, but I haven't gotten around to trying it. It's nice to hear your opinion on it! Also thanks for the tip regarding castor oil!
