Bookworms

Short, chilly December days mean bigger stacks of library books.
So far there have been no complaints.

I love to see when kids take a liking to reading. We push that in our house with tons of books available to our son (even though he is only 1.) He loves to sit and look though his picture books. I hope it is a habit for life.

That's great! We love the books with read-aloud cds, too.

When my youngest (23) was home for Thanksgiving last weekend, he asked me if I remembered reading him "Grandfather Twilight", a book about a kindly, gentle grandfatherly man, who each evening took a single pearl from an endless strand and lifted it to the sky, and it became the moon.

It brought tears to my eyes that he had fond memories of those sweet days.

Look at those adorable feet! I miss little feet.
