Live Humbly and Appreciatively

"I believe if I were charged with having a goal, it would be to live without fretting -- to live more fully in the moment, not always huffing about as I’ve done in recent years…to live humbly -- and appreciatively -- with whatever God furnishes."

~ Jan Karon, Light From Heaven

I just heard someone talking about this the other day, saying would we want to get to the end of our lives and look back on the days we were given, only to have to look back on days of living in fear and worry and discontent? Or do we want to look back on a life where we have trusted our Lord and lived contentedly, satisfied with His love?
