I stood in my sunny kitchen this morning and savored a simple breakfast orange. After all the rich food we've had of late it was delicious and refreshing.

The day commenced with the slow, methodical tasks of cleaning up, cleaning out, and undecorating. It felt nice. After the busyness and bliss of Christmas and its delightful festivity I am savoring our return to a simpler life.

Mmmm...I can almost feel the citrus spray from that orange.
And the un-decorating commences in our home tomorrow! Such a good feeling to get everything tidy once more.
I've been on an orange kick lately too. Too many episodes of Cranford, I think.
me too, Christian, me too.

I'm with you. Ready for routine again - almost. One more Christmas to celebrate yet. Oh, and then spring will come soon...I'm counting the days...
This time between Christmas and going back to work is one of my favorite times of year. I enjoy the time to freshen, organize, etc. yet still be slow paced.
Sorry about your broken ornament. Glad you posted that first photo which reminds me I stuck a clementine in my coat pocket this morning and never ate it. :) Kelly
We un-decorate on New Year's Day. I'm always more than ready by then! :)
