Before I can start thinking about baby's room a certain fuss must be made over two little men who are about to become roommates. This weekend the bunk beds went up. There was much excitement.
awwww, sweet. Our children share a room and I love to hear their sweet sleepy conversations. Your bunks are, of course, very nice. Where did you get them? Not the usual wood affair.
Margo -- The bunk beds are the Tromso bunk beds from Ikea. While we drooled over Room and Board's $1300(!!!) black steel bunk beds, we went with the *much* more wallet friendly option at Ikea (they are regularly $179, we got them on sale for $139). They are sturdy, nice looking and we are pleased.

All three of our tots have shared a room at some point. I highly recommend it for building those sibling relationships.
Granted, I've never bunked up two teenage girls before, but as of now ... we love it.

Our boys got bunk beds when we moved. They have made every bed time feel like an adventure.
