A Link and a Smile

If you're a furniture scavenger and/or a modern enthusiast, or {ahem!} if you happen to live with one {or both} then The Blu Dot Real Good Experiment will definitely amuse and delight your furniture loving heart. Set in New York City, this ten-minute film is beautifully and creatively produced while the story is cleverly told. Go ahead and watch... it'll leave you wondering, "Would I have taken the chair?"

Yes - I would have taken the chair! Why? Because I love finding old stuff or in this case, new chair, by the garbage. In another country I found several pieces of furniture by the dumpster and they have found their way stateside. There is always a feeling of euphoria with great finds, large or small, and an immediate project light bulb that bursts on in my mind. I never get enough of this kind of adventure.

Mary -- I totally agree! Although, I have to say, that it takes some guts to pluck up a chair from a crowded street corner in NYC!

It is such a challenge to get rid of stuff in NYC. Curb-mining (new word to me, but not a new concept : ) is a rich world there.

Interesting video. I probably wouldn't have taken it - not my style - but I would have made my husband photograph it for my blog, probably.
