Those sparklers look like fun! As a northerner, I'm always a bit surprised at the thought of fireworks at Christmas/New Years, as most of us up here prefer to be cuddle inside by a fire under a quilt. I'm sure your boys (and mom and dad!) had a great time with them.
I think the key word there was 'calmly'...either looking back or forward. Lovely, Christian!
