More Clips

Last night after finishing The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, after tucking the boys into bed, I made more colorful clothes pin clips while mindlessly watching reruns of The Office with my feet propped up. {As an aside, Baby Sister is doing quite a number on my legs these day. Varicose veins, support hose, and all... let's just say that I really glad that it's pants season.}

These simple, colorful clips really make me smile. With magnets glued to the back they're perfect for displaying masterpieces and greeting cards...

And, I'm finding that I love having them on hand to clip tags to gifts and to seal bags of goodies. I'm even using them as chip clips.

When not in use, seeing a bowl of them in my laundry room is just nice.

What a nice thought, all those cheerful little clips just waiting to be used. :)

I'm sorry about your legs! Kelly

Oh, I really need to just get on this, and make some myself! You know what would be fun? To make three sets of clips in three different colors--one for each of your children. Hang up one of the inexpensive drape wires from IKEA, and have the kids' artwork hung up, "labeled" with their own clip!

You are so fun! I'm sorry to hear about your legs. That's no fun. Hang in there. Not too much longer?

Oh, my dear, I feel your (leg) pain! It was the third that did it to me, too. My legs are irreversibly damaged...seriouly, if I ever have $5-$10K laying around, I will be opting for surgery...and not the kind where they stick little needles in the spider veins. No sir, they'll have to bring out the big guns. BUT, I will say that they drastically improved after delivery, so hopefully yours will not show any after effects at all :)

LOVE the clips!

Those are beautiful!

We used to paint clippy clothespins with bright acrylics when the children were younger. inexpensive, abundant, quick. And lasted surprisingly long in the sunshine.

e.c. -- "BUT, I will say that they drastically improved after delivery" as I lie here with my legs propped up higher than my head, you have given me hope. Right now 2/3 of my right calf is purple'ish-black {not pretty!} and the bulging stuff is right behind the right knee. Ouch!

Christian, I'm so sorry about your legs. Support hose and all - sheesh.
I would be happy, too, if I had a crystal bowl and lovely chartreuse-y tray in my laundry room! The pins are icing on that cake. . .

I love the other ideas in the comments, too, for clothespins. My daughter made clothespin dollies with some of mine, to "sew" while I sewed.

What a great idea! These clips would look great on my fridge ... a lot better than the hodgepodge of magnets currently on there.

I love your ribbon choices :)

Simple, make-you-smile, project.

I saved your instructions for burp cloths long before I ever found out (or thought it was even possible) I'd be prgnant. I bought a bunch of ribbon at Michael's tonight to work on them.

This is a definately good idea for any scraps that remain.
