The room's single biggest flaw is a total lack of natural light {grrrr!}. Desperate for sunlight I proposed adding a skylight {a very un-budget basic idea} but this wasn't possible because of the roofline. Oh well.

New fixtures, new tile, new lighting, and a new vanity.

Artwork displaced from Little Brother's old room adds a much needed splash of color as well as some mod'ish whimsy on the empty focal point wall.
Oh, and speaking of artwork, we found just the right piece for the master bathroom...

I love the beautiful, clean, simplicity!
Our guest bath is the same as the boys' bath...ugh...can totally relate to keeping it acceptable.
I really like the tile. It reminds me of the tile in the bathroom in Adrian's old house. Always liked how he designed that bathroom. Neither of our present bathrooms have natural light. grr is right. :) I also really like your cabinet in the bathroom! love those little notches above the doors. So glad it's done for you! Kelly
Christian,
I am so happy for you! I imagine you must feel such settledness knowing these spaces are completed prior to your sweet baby's arrival! Y'all did a wonderful job. I love all of the clean lines. Beautiful! Hooray for you all!
Oh, how crisp and perfect. Do you just love happening past and catching glimpse? And if you're like me, suddenly the cleaning is a little more enjoyable...
how wonderful! I really love your design. You don't have to apologize for budget basic. You chose great pieces (I adore those shower rings especially - I'm a detail person).
Those gorgeous red poppies (is what they look like to me) are so beautiful - and maybe you can keep your red shower curtain! I'm so impressed with how quickly you found a picture - my husband and I have a terrible time agreeing on art, and thus our walls are rather blank.
I love that your home's decor flows from one room to the next...cohesively! Even your bathroom feels like a key player. I like brother's wall hangings in the bathroom. I need to work on a bit more flow at my house!
I love the bathroom. I think it is simple, modern, and crisp. I also picked that tan tile, from Home Depot, for a bathroom remodel at a former house so I think it is a great choice. And have you heard of solar tubes? Look into them if you are serious about adding natural light in a not so skylight friendly spot.
