I hope you're not growing tired of all the baby-love around here. I suppose I'll drift back into my regular postings soon enough but for now she is so scrumptious and I'm so in love that I just can't resist.
So far this is my very favorite photo of her {shot yesterday at five days old}. She is still very much in that sleepy newborn stage but when she's awake and alert I love how her eyes catch the light.
At birth she weighed five pounds and fifteen ounces; when we left the hospital on Monday she was down to five pounds and five ounces... such a tiny bit of a girl. We paid a visit to the hospital today for a routine weight check and were happy to discover that she has gained six ounces over the last few days. All the nursing is paying off.
Because she has nice round cheeks it's hard for me to capture how little she is with the camera... her head is not even the size of a grapefruit and her body is so tiny that she is swimming in her newborn sized clothing. She is just like a sweet little baby doll, only better.
And so we're happily rolling along at a slow pace. The boys have created some very sweet moments along with some rather ridiculous ones {when I capture the right photo "big brotherhood" will have to be a post of its own}. Yes, Baby Sister is fitting in quite nicely, but then who doesn't like sugar and spice?

No! Please don't stop all of the baby love, I am loving it. What a beautiful and sweet baby.
One can never see too many baby pictures!
Tired? Are you kidding!! Love it! I am thinking I can smell that wonderful baby smell from here. And I've been wondering how the big brothering was going. Do keep sharing!!
I love her little wisps of red baby hair!
Absolutely not tired of seeing your beautiful daughter. Her red hair is just charming. And I can't wait to see some big brother moments.
Oh no...we LOVE it! :)
I love how she fits in that bowl! Spencer weighed 5.1 at birth, so I can just imagine her size. She is so lovely!
Oh, and so very much cuter than said baby doll! I think I can speak on behalf of all of us readers; we're in love with her too! :)
Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy these first days with your baby girl...and post as many photos as you like! She's so perfect :).
Well, I keep saying 'eat her up,' so isn't a bowl a great place to take her sweet photo?! What fun!
You know, we called CA "Miss Big Eyes" for a long time after she was born...those eyes were so enormous and we couldn't get over them.
Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!
Each new photo of her is a delight and charms me so! I too have a wee pale dress similar to that that was mine as a baby that will be adorning my little one if it is a girl. :) Kelly
I've only had big eight pound babies, but I can so appreciate the joy of these newborn days. My newest (and third, too!)is not yet two weeks old and I am so, so smitten with him. I think the experiences of the other two have made me enjoy and appreciate this time so much more!
So sweet, and please don't stop. I need my baby fix. My youngest is now 15.:)
Sweetness is true, when my youngest was tiny we would ask her why she was so sweet, and she would reply with ernest,"God rolled me in sugar". I miss those sweet days. Even though she is still rolled in sugar.

so teeny-tiny and sweet. LOVE her eyes. Thanks for sharing the baby love to us mommas out here.

She is adorable. Were your boys tiny at birth too?
She is so beautiful, I'm so happy for you!! And keep the baby-love pics coming :)
What a beautiful, sweet baby! If she were mine I would want to show her off too :)
Oh dear, that you would even have to ask....I check in daily hoping for a sweet baby girl fix! Don't stop until the men in your life catch on and ask for some "air time" (blog time) as well.
Until then bring on the princess.
She is a beauty and I L-O-V-E red hair. Please indulge us by continuing to share her.
Yes, more baby love please!! I was just musing on her/your family the other day, wishing I had a blog when my babies were born. It's such a fun way to share a baby and the endless photos :)
I love that you put her in a bowl!!
Would you like some little girl preemie clothes? I have a box of them from my girl who was a big 6 lbs. (compared to your little sweetie) but was so drowny in her newborn size that I had fun going out to buy some little things. Just email me at my blog and I will send them to you if you want.
She is so adorable so please keep the pictures coming. When you shared the weight with us I did a double take. I had twin boys almost four years ago and they were almost exactly the same weight. 5 lb 14oz and 5 lb 12 oz. I know just how teeny tiny she must be.

Give your miracle an extra sweet kiss from me, OK? Beautiful photos.
I can hardly imagine a baby that small! Caroline wore a couple of newborn things the first few days we brought her home and even then we had to squeeze her into them so we could tell the gift givers that she did wear them.
I'd like to see the grapefruit comparison! ;-)
The baby in a bowl pics are irresistable. That's all I'd be posting bout too! She has smiley eyes...like her mama.
