A Sunday Evening Potpourri

Little Brother enjoyed his first Ring Pop today. He relished every. single. lick. Thank you, Miss Laura.

This weekend I realized that in light of the fact that Baby Sister has red hair I really must find my childhood Becky doll for her to play with.

I am more stubborn than mustard stains. I am more stubborn than automotive grease stains. Victory on two counts! Now I'm hoping that I'm more stubborn than red clay mud stains because the Boys' Club decided to throw wet dirt clods at the back shed whilst wearing their Sunday best.

Last night the professor made she-crab soup... laced with sherry. Tonight he made delicious omelets. I could get used to having him cook on a regular basis.

I am not a superstitious person but I may have to become one for the sake of sleep. Baby slept from 10:30 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. {6.5 hours!) eight nights in a row. In my book that is sleeping through the night. As soon as I wrote and published, "Now that I'm getting more sleep under my belt..." she resumed her 2:00 a.m. cries for milk. I jinxed it. When and if she ever sleeps through the night again you will not read about it here.

That is all. Goodnight moon.

I have also become a superstitious person since becoming a parent. I don't dare actually say the words "fully potty trained," "sleeping through the night," "eating better."

Pass the soup, please.

It's good to know Baby CAN sleep that long...and I hope and pray she will resume her happy habit of doing so!

Love that picture!

When you figure out how to vanquish red clay stains, please let me in on your secret. That iron is the bane of my existence.

A 4-hour stretch of sleep for an infant is considered to be "Sleeping through the night." She's doing great. None of mine slept through the night until they were teenagers! And I've NEVER slept through the night.

What delicious meals! Seems like some things are going very well indeed!

those turkeys in their Sunday best! I will never forget when Evie's SS teacher let her play with whiteboard permanent markers and she got black marks on her sweet red smocked velvet Polly Flinders dress. I usually don't get too worked up about stains, but I scoured the internet for a solution to that one (and wore a hole in the velvet trying to get it out).

Hey, your professor can COOK.

I will go to any lengths to get more and uninterrupted sleep - a little superstition - ha ha. Good luck to you!

I am smiling. So sorry we jinxed it. (I'm not superstitious either...but OH!)

10:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.? Sounds like total bliss to me. :-)

I remember I wrote a few things about Caroline on my site and then she reverted. I stopped posting things like that too! LOL!
