First Day, Hooray!

If ever there was a little man who was ready for half-day preschool it is most certainly our Little Brother on this very day! Over the past few years he's been content to watch Big Brother head out for school adventures. Now that it's his turn he's nothing but eager.

He obliged me with the customary "first day" photo this morning, as long as we did it without the backpack. After 2.8 seconds of shutter bursts it was full speed ahead with no looking back.

He proudly marched himself right into his colorful classroom, dropped his backpack on the floor like he owned the place, settled down to the business of serious play, and that was that.

It's going to be a great year!

How wonderfully exciting! I couldn't be happier for you! And I know you will enjoy this sweet one on one time with baby girl!

How adorable!

It just occurred to me how he is the 'middle child' in every sense of the word! Always watching big brother and the baby of the family is the only girl! Oh my! But you, dear mom, already know that and have an attentive eye on him! :)

He looks so grown up all of a sudden...and looks so much like you!

My little one starts preschool in a week, and he's just as ready. I'm not.

So cute, I miss those days. I loved your comment on my blog about your sons comment to "come and wook" at a photograph. This spring I got a call from my oldest son...from Ireland. He told me to Google "Causeway of the Giants" so that I could see what he was seeing as we talked. It made my day!

I'm so glad he is enjoying his school days! I saw his new haircut on Sunday as he raced by - he's growing so confident and sure of himself. Guess you and Miss Sister had a fun day, too!

Love this. And isn't it amazing the great shots that can appear when only given 2.8 seconds? Gorgeous.

I have a feeling this will be a wonderful year of independence ... for all of you!
