November Day

With the warmth of Thanksgiving behind us and the glow of Christmas not quite upon us, my feet reluctantly found the floor this morning. Carpool lines, backpacks, lunches, laundry... Getting the day started proves to be the hardest task; there is an energizing rhythm found in routines and patterns, in the mundane. The baby naps, dishes are washed, beds made, meals planned, grocery shopping {in the rain}, schoolwork. The day remains wet and gray... November chill... soon enough all will be bright.

Your day sounds similar to mine - except for the baby napping and carpool parts (and oh, how I miss those baby days!). Mondays are my favorite days lately, and November my favorite month.
We have a gray rainy day today! I love it if I'm staying inside and can feel cozy. Usually it's my grocery day, too, and I get soaked. ha.
You may need to start your days with tea in bed. ;)
ah...same up here.

I love this photo! The pole is a good symbol for you and all mothers: pulled in every which direction, because they are holding up all the lines that travel to various locations to light up the world. =)
I'm so glad I don't have to go back out in the rain today! A few candles, a pot of soup, and some nice music make home a nice place to be cozy in. . .
I love the angle of the photo. I love how you celebrate the mundane.
Farmgirl -- Beautiful imagery and so, so true...
Now, isn't that an encouraging thought.
(what an exciting photo!)
