It happens twice a year, and twice a year I can't ignore it... the dreaded children's clothing consignment sale. You know, the big one, where mothers run and dive and dig... it really isn't my idea of fun. But, let's face it, when it comes to my children's play clothes I'm a bit miserly and consignment sales can be good for miserly moms.
The boys desperately needed shorts and there was a certain pair of Modge-Podge encrusted khaki pants that needed to be replaced. With Bunny at my side we faced and conquered. Forty-five minutes of shopping and less than $40 spent, the boys have the shorts they need and Sister has her first pair of sneakers. The boys, of course, could care less. She, on the other hand, is very, very proud.

I love it. My little one has exactly the same reaction to her shoes ... she thinks they're wonderful! And sometimes wearing someone else's shoes is even better. :)
Those are darling. They make me miss baby shoes and the little baby feet that fill them.
the photos are so sweet! You use such clever angles.
I'm pretending that warm weather is not coming (it's currently snowing as I type) because I'm not sure what the state of the kids' clothes situation is.. . .maybe I need to enlist my mom, as you did :)
And even more fun to do it with Bunny!
My boys need shorts, too! Although not quite yet! We're still wearing Elmer Fudd hats up here! lol.
She's already learning what every girl knows: new clothes make you feel so pretty--and there is nothing like a great pair of shoes!!
I am notorious for stuffing my children into too-small clothing and shoes. I usually realize it when I see them walking around at church with high-waters on and toes hanging out of shoes. Sigh.
And, if your family is like mine, you will continue to have boys that don't care and a little girl who really does. :)
