Buzz

On this, the last day of May, it was 95 degrees. Hello, summer. I'm not sure what came over us today, but the children and I went for a neighborhood walk at 3:30 this afternoon in the sticky, sweltering heat. Seeking some mid-excursion shade, we ducked into the shadow of a very large butterfly bush that was alive with the sound of humming bees. The bees didn't seem to mind the heat. I wish I were a bee.

yeah, we hit 95 today too. I allowed the children to play with water in the backyard. MUST be summer!

We're just barely starting to really warm up here. I'm excited for the heat, for kiddy pools, sprinklers, and popcicles. Of course, I say that now...

Come on up and see me in Seattle. It's a balmy 60 degrees :)

I feel like I was under the bush with you all. Somehow this post made that moment in time come very much alive. Kelly

Ugh. Now that is hot. I wish we could mix our weather conditions in a big pot. We'd have some lovely days, I'm sure!
