I was really hoping you were having a girl! Selfishly, really, because I've been hoping for a girl for our third, and it gives me hope. I adore my two boys, but I got misty eyed both times I found out they were boys, thinking of that girl nursery I was dying to create. Congratulations!

Reeves -- I love using fabric on walls -- it adds warmth and texture to a room and is often a very inexpensive decorating element.

Buy a wooden canvas frame at your local art supply store. These come in many, many sizes and shapes. You'll find them with the paints and easels. Simply stretch and wrap your fabric around the frame securing it to the back with a staple gun every inch or two. For crisp, neat corners fold the fabric just as you would fold wrapping paper when gift wrapping a box.

How fun! I'm so feeling your inspiration of colors. I think what keeps "colorful" modern is often what would be considered maybe retro, ironically. It seems that colors that "go", but kinda don't...make multicolor fresh. Think rose and orange, avocado green and navy, whereas traditionally complementary colors "go." Do you know what I mean?
